CGHR conducts research focusing on infectious diseases of medical importance. The Centre conducts cutting-edge research focusing on trials on the efficacy of drugs, emergence of drug and vector resistance, epidemiology, immunology, climate and human health, malaria vaccine trials, interaction of malaria and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), schistosomiasis, intestinal helminthes, HIV/AIDS and its impact on the community, tuberculosis, reproductive health and much more.
The knowledge management section develops standard structures for identifying, capturing, synthesizing packaging, dissemination/sharing and application of knowledge aimed at improving the use of research evidence to inform policy, programming and practice.
