Ethiopiaid came to life in October 1989 founded by Sir Alec Reed following the widespread hardship, suffering, and poverty then. Over the years, the charity has grown without losing sight of its relatively humble beginnings. Ethiopiaid envisions an Ethiopia free from poverty, in which every person has access to quality education, healthcare, and a life of dignity. The program areas of intervention focus on maternal health, harmful traditional practices, formal education, disabilities, diseases and elderly support.
