HPA works to strengthen poor and marginalized people in their struggle for health. HPA’s approach to health is prioritizing those missed out by almost everyone else and addressing the full range of factors which impact their health. The charity supports in-country development programs in 12 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Program areas include: emergencies; health systems strengthening; maternal and child health; young people; TB; Malaria; SRH; food security and nutrition; health communication and education; WASH; women’s empowerment and violence against women. Further, HPA influences policy and practice on health rights and works to its commitment to the vision of health for all. The organization provides consultancy and other contracted services for the poor and marginalized communities.
