IWHC advances the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and young people, particularly adolescent girls in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. The Coalition furthers this agenda by supporting and strengthening leaders and organizations working at the community, national, regional, and global levels, and by advocating for international and US policies, programs and funding. IWHC works on: advancing global policies; building young leaders; and providing funding and technical support to organizations. Priority areas include advancing the rights of adolescent girls, ending child marriage, safe & legal abortion and sexuality education. The multimedia center has materials on women’s health and rights.
