Network for Improving Quality of Care for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health

Network (Advocacy, Global or NGO) / by Nason Bimbe / 584 views

The Network works to ensure that every pregnant woman and newborn receives good quality care throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal period. It works to achieve the ambitious goal to halve maternal and newborn deaths and stillbirths in health facilities in the nine participating countries that are already taking leadership to improve quality of care in health services. These countries are: Bangladesh, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda. The Network supports the countries in achieving their targets agreed under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end preventable maternal, newborn and child deaths, and stillbirths, and to work towards Universal Health Coverage. The knowledge library has documents on topics of clinical care, health information systems, referral, communication, emotional support, health personnel, infrastructure and supply. The types of documents include guidelines, network briefs, training, assessments, field documents, country cases, strategic planning and research articles. There is also country data for the nine participating countries. The communities of practice is a forum of health practitioners from around the world co-developing and sharing their know-how, ideas and challenges on quality of care improvement. You can join the global community and have your say.
