Funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), UK Aid Direct was established in 2014 as a successor to the Global Poverty Action Fund. UK Aid Direct is a challenge fund designed to support the UK’s commitments to reducing poverty and towards achieving the Global Goals. So far, UK Aid Direct has reached more than 3 million people across 31 countries. The grant support small- and medium-sized national and international civil society organizations (CSOs). Specifically, the funding reaches the most marginalized and vulnerable populations, supporting the DFID agenda to ‘leave no one behind’. The sectors that are supported include: agriculture, climate change, disabilities, education, empowerment and accountability, environment, girls and women, health, humanitarian emergencies/disasters, livelihoods, peace and access to justice, and water and sanitation. The Learning hub captures, documents and shares learning and evidence. You will find a selection of videos, guidance, webinar recordings, case studies, and recommended readings located by project themes and functions.
