The charity works on the frontline in India and Bangladesh to treat, educate, rehabilitate and give a voice to people living on the margins of society. Lepra focuses on people who find themselves trapped at the intersection of disease, poverty and prejudice and help them to improve their health, lives and livelihoods. The charity mainly operates in Bangldesh, India and Zimbabwe.
Lepra has a museum in Essex, UK, which consists of a wide collection of artefacts, photographs, videos and accounts showing how the charity has developed as its knowledge and understanding of leprosy has evolved.
